Gay-Straight Alliances (GSA's) within the public and private school systems are changing what it's like to be a GLBT teenager or youth. GSA's create a safe environment for youth to participate in leadership, activism and social change. If your school doesn't have one, these student-initiated organizations can be established easily with support from the Triangle area network of GSA's.

NC Lambda Youth Network, located in Durham, is a leadership development and social justice organization for GLBT, questioning and allied youth, ages 15-22. NCLYN programs include BAM! Art Nights, HOT Fridays Support Group, a monthly movie night and ongoing leadership trainings.
